As I am now studying Module 3 (Presenting the Path), I wish I could do the Practice of taking and giving while meditating on a different (but not so much !) topic....

As I am now studying Module 3 (Presenting the Path), I wish I could do the Practice of taking and giving while meditating on a different (but not so much !) topic.

For instance, is it possible to combine (within the same meditation time) : Meditation on Bodhichitta + Practice of taking and giving, or Meditation on equanimity + Practice of taking and giving.

Do I have to do the Practice of taking and giving in an exclusive Meditation ?

What is the most appropriate and correct ?

I think it would be good if you could repost this question in the Discovering Buddhism discussion forum in order to get advice and input on this questions from other students and elders as they will most likely not see this question in this FAQ and Technical support forum.

My opinion on the question is that i think it is fine for you to do the meditation in the best way that works for you. The goal of the meditation practices is to have a positive impact on the mind and to develop compassion and if it works for you to combine Tong Len with some other meditations then i would think that is good to do.

In French, we have a quote : "All the ways lead to Rome" and similarly I would say that "all the (Dharma ?) links lead to you" !
