I am just beginning my official online learning with FPMT, although I have been listening to the dharma talks on Internet Archive.org for a year now...of which I think has prepped me very well for DB2 "How to Meditate", and so I wonder - how long should I spend on each session? I feel confidant enough to take the review quiz at the end of session 1, but want to be as legit as possible about it. I don't want to rush thru, but am also eager to move on. Any suggestions are welcome, I am new to any kind of online learning, etc.

you can take 'Discovering Buddhism Module 2: How to Meditate' right here at FPMT online learning center and its FREE. The teacher is excellent,too... what I usually do is download the mp3's of the lessons and listen to them while I do my repairs at work, as well as following up with reading at home. In reference to mediation, the classes have guided meditations, too, so they show you what to do for that as well.
One thing that was stressed to me and paid off well, is to go for consistency; practice everyday, even if its just 5 minutes some days . Even though we want to be devoting more time than that on a regular basis, by 'checking in' everyday we build a strong foundation for our studies.
Good Luck!
