Thanks for your post. In DB online modules 1, 2 and 10 there are separate quizzes for most of the teaching sessions and the final exam is usually made up of questions from these teaching session quizzes.

However the final exam is the only assessment / quiz for Modules 5 and 10 as individual quizzes were not created for these modules for each teaching session. This was mainly due to time constraints as it takes alot of time to create the quizzes in Moodle and we were trying to make the courses available as soon as possible but also it was sometimes difficult to pull questions for every single session.

I will be back working on new modules in November 2009 and will hopefully be making Modules 3, 4 and 6 available in November. I have received mixed feedback on the quizzes to date with some students finding the quizzes too easy and some students finding the quizzes too hard.

For some of the new modules, we are thinking of continuing with the final exam in quiz format and in some cases having individual quizzes for sessions if we can generate sufficient questions for the session but in addition to this making it a requirement for completion to post a forum answer to some assessment essay style questions.

So it would be good if you and other students (especially students completing the full requirements for the course) could give some feedback on the following questions:

1. Would you like for future modules to always have quiz questions for each teaching session in addition to the final exam.

2. Would you like to see the old assessment questions listed separately as questions in the student forum for discussion and that posting answers to these questions was required for the completion certificate. With this option anything that needed further clarification could be summarized for the elder to respond to.
