merry here from FPMT Education Services. In reagrds to your questions:

1. Will I have to do module 1 again in its online presentation if I want to complete the course?

No - DB students can complete the modules either by following the hardcopy at Home materials or the online materials, or a combination of both, to receive a DB at Home certificate. Hoever, you will need to complete the Mod 1 assessment questions (or online quiz) as well as the special integration practice in order to call module one complete.

2. is there any time limit on completing individual modules as I started module 2 over a year ago

There is no time limit, but a year or two gap is a long time so I would highly recommend that you review the materials or simply just start over again. In fact you will most likely have to review the materials in order to do the assessment!

3. If I do the end of module quiz rather than the written assessments will I not be able to complete the course or will I have to do the written assessments later?

The written assessment option was initially replaced with the quizzes for online students and you can complete the online module with just the quiz. The written assessment is now available as an option to the online quiz. So you can choose which you prefer to do to complete your module one study.
