Hi,

i hope someone can enlighten me on a question I am asking myself at the moment. I have recently completed module 6 on Karma and I am currently on module 7 - taking refuge. I do fully understand and accept that all suffering comes from the mind and our previous accumulated karma, for which Practising the four powers help. I also understand how Bodhicitta makes us think about suffering of others that is worse than our own and how we should develop a strong motivation to generate Bodhicitta. However, I have been dealing with physical pain related to back problems, which in turn is making me stressed, tired and unable to sleep. Whilst I do get that the body is impermanent and pain is generated in the mind, what advice would you give to use my a Buddhist practice to help me overcome this suffering Karma  no doubt coming from past karma imprints which is currently hindering my practice as I am in pain? Is physical pain a manifestation of mental pain?

thanks

Hi Fabio,

As a regular practitioner of Yoga, I would kindly suggest you to practice Yoga regularly, that can help you to cure back pain. It will inturn helps you to continue to generate Bodhicitta too.

Thanks
