Hi, I have now read the text on Lam-rim in the first session reading over and over and I am totally lost. I realise I don't need to meditate on it to move on to session two, but I am concerned that it is meaningless to me! From reading outside the course, it is a structured path of learning I think- yet the text in the book makes no sense to me at all. can anyone help?

I'm very sorry to come across your message only today and to see that no one responded to your question. This is likely because it is posted in the technical forum which deals with technical issues such as not being able to access a particular course or file. The people who monitor this forum do not generally deal with questions related to the course materials.

If you are still wondering about the lamrim text, could you please re-post your question in whichever course it is you are doing? In this way the elder of the course will know what text you are referring to and will be sure to respond.
