hello my name is john,i have a question regarding module 1 and its required reading materials....please bear with me,...i was first enrolled in the discovering buddhism course module 1 [mind and its potential] in a california state prison in 2011....i was given a TEXT BOOK called "mind and its potential"....i bought module 1 out here on the streets thinking the same text book would be used....SO MY QUESTION IS?....does anybody know what i am talking about?...does module 1 even have a text book to learn from?

Thanks for your post. I think you are referring to soft-bound single books that were created and printed by Liberation Prison Project for making available to prisoners as outlined at http://www.liberationprisonproject.org/ourprograms/correspondence_courses.php - these were printed versions of the transcripts and shorter PDF readings as the audio was usually not available.

So there was a special need for these booklets for prisoners as sometimes it was not possible to send cds or excessive printed pages to prisons and a soft book format was much easier to make the teachings available. 

However these booklets were a special printrun for LPP and we do not have them available for students.We now make all the materials available online with the audio files in mp3 format and the transcript and readings in PDF format.

Of course some of the required readings for each DB modules are printed books.

Thanks for your reply Eamon...YES THAT IS THE BOOK I AM LOOKING FOR...so once again my question is....are the transcripts for that book available online....and where is it ...

1. The reading pack can be accessed under the link called Required and Suggested Readings which opens at https://onlinelearning.fpmt.org/mod/page/view.php?id=258

This page then has a link to the reading pack in PDF format and a link to also download it in epub and mobi formats

2. The teaching transcipts can be access from any of the sessions such as at https://onlinelearning.fpmt.org/mod/folder/view.php?id=277 which has a link to the transcript in PDF format at https://onlinelearning.fpmt.org/file.php/2/M1-PDFs/DM-Mod1-MAIP-Transcript.pdf

The online course also contains the audio files, guided meditations and other resources
