Greetings FPMT:

I am new to FPMT and would like to know where you recommend that I go to ask general questions relating to Buddhism. Here is an example. I have seen the term/title "acharya" in various books and pages on the web. I understand what an "acharya" is, but I would like to know how to pronounce it. There doesn't appear to be one clear cut way to pronounce this word.

Some pronounce it "aa charr e aa" while other pronounce it "aa car e aa".

I also recall that there was some place within the FPMT site to "introduce" myself and engage in conversations. Where is this?

Thank you very much for your time, assistance and guidance.

Dan

Dear Dan

Thanks for your post. I noticed that you are enrolled in Meditation 101 and that course has a forum at https://onlinelearning.fpmt.org/mod/forum/view.php?f=116 where you can post your introduction and then also post some questions.

We also have an even more active forum for Discovering Buddhism at https://onlinelearning.fpmt.org/course/view.php?id=34 where questions can be posted and input received from other students and from some elders.

So please avail of both of those resources.

Kind Regards

Eamon
