Thank you for your post in this FAQ and Technical Forum.
With my own Kindle, I can copy the existing PDFs and read them directly on this without converting them to Word and redefining the page size but the PDF page size is then quite small and harder to read, which i why i think you are converting them yourself to a different size?
I have reviewed some of the PDFs and some of the required reading PDFs were indeed saved with some security permissions. To help you with your issue I am going to respond to you offline to ensure we get you an unsecured copy of all the readings you need until we can provide a better solution within the courses.
