Eamon or someone else will be along later to confirm, and I don't work for FPMT, but that is correct. Full access to the online Learning Center is a benefit of becoming a a friend of FPMT at the Dharma Supporter level ($30-99 a month)

If you check the online store, then you will see that each individual module is priced at $45 each for a total of $630 for the entire course. So it works out cheaper to become a Dharma Supporter and get full access to the learning center. It also includes the other courses as well.

From an organization's viewpoint a guaranteed recurring donation is a big help because it lets them budget and plan. They know what they can count on getting, and they don't have to continually ask people for money.

Thank you for your post in this FAQ and technical forum. We have a membership scheme called Friends for FPMT and any Friends at the Dharma Support level (which is a single donation of $360 per year or a recurring donation of $30 per month), gets full access to the Online Learning Center as a benefit of their membership (in addition to Mandala magazine).

So this does mean that a single donation of $30 will not receive this benefit.

The Friends of FPMT is one of the fundraising activities for the FPMT International office to support all the activities and projects, including the support of centers, the development of educational programs and materials, the management of charitable projects and of Rinpoche's activities.

It is also to possible to purchase individual courses on the FPMT Foundation Store at https://shop.fpmt.org/FPMT-Education-Programs_c_565.html for anyone interested in specific modules or programs.

In general our policy is that we are making the Dharma teachings available for free and the charges incurred are to cover some of the administrative costs for providing and managing all the materials.

We also offer a number of free resources on the Online Learning Center and the enrollment keys for all the latest courses are available in the OLC Site Guide and I am also copying a list of the latest free resources below.

Also if any student seriously wants to study any of our programs and cannot afford the costs involved, they can write directly to me at onlineedu@fpmt.org as we have different ways of helping any student who cannot afford the programs but who want to engage in the study.

Clicking here will bring you to online videos from Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s Light of the Path retreat teachings for 2009 and 2010 which also includes videos from a 2 day lamrim retreat led by western Sangha. There is no password needed.

Hello, I can understand your confusion. There are different levels of FPMT membership. Descriptions of these levels is available on the Friends of FPMT website. There is an annual international membership for $30 available to people who live in certain countries which gives you access to all the free courses and some other benefits you can check up online. The Basic FPMT membership which is free will give you some of these benefits. To get all the enrolment keys for all the courses you need to subscribe to become a Dharma Supporter with a minimum subscription of $30 a month for a year. (You need to check this on their website, but its not a one off payment.) This is worthwhile if you plan to complete all the modules in any of the courses which are now discounted to $30 each.
