Introductory Video

At a retreat with Lama Zopa Rinpoche in Bendigo, Australia in 2014, Ven. Sarah Thresher, at Rinpoche's request, gave an introductory talk on the bodhichitta mindfulness practices.

(Note: These practices are found  in the appendices of Lama Zopa Rinpoche's book Bodhisattva Attitude, which is what Ven. Sarah is referencing in the video. They are also found in this course in the practice booklet "Cultivating Mindfulness of Bodhichitta in Daily Activities" and in chapter 2 of the readings for this module: "Bodhichitta Mindfulness in Daily Activities.")

Ven. Sarah Thresher (Tenzin Yiwong) was born in London, England in 1960. Shortly after graduating from university in 1982, she met her root guru Kyabje Zopa Rinpoche at Kopan Monastery, Nepal. Since then she has studied with many great masters and was ordained by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 1986.

After working as an editor for Wisdom Publications for nine years, she began teaching in 1992 and has taught in countries around the world. She is currently an FPMT registered touring teacher and editor of LYWA’s Heart Advice series.
